Sunday Morning Opportunities beyond Worship
ACES: Accepting, Connecting, Engaging, Serving
Throughout the school year, ACES meets at 9:15am on Sunday morning. This ministry intentionally focuses on acceptance, growing connections between all ages, teaching engaging lessons, and serving in God's name. It includes frequent times intergenerational activities and some great service opportunities. See full information here.
Specific-age classes include: 3 & 4 year olds, 5 year old/Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade, 3rd & 4th grade, 5th & 6th grade,
7th grade, 8th grade/Confirmation, High school, Methodist
Adults in Study and Service (MASS), Time to Grow, International Class, and Church Chat. We are always looking
to add more classes; let us know if you have an idea!
Opportunities throughout the Week & Year
Our Wednesday afternoons and evenings here at GUMC are filled with various ministries.
Blessed Community - We begin with a community meal served at 6pm for a freewill offering. You can come early to help with preparation, stay late to help with cleanup, or just come for the food and fellowship! This is a wonderful chance to get to know other members of this faith family.
MUSIC: Choirs meet on Wednesday nights either before or after the meal
5:15-6:00pm Radiant Ringers bells (downstairs bell room)
5:30-6:00pm Praise Choir (in the chapel). Their primary practice is Sunday at 9:15am
6:30-7:15pm Carillon Choir bells (downstairs bell room)
7:30-8:15pm Chancel Choir (in the chapel)
T.A.G. “truth and god” program for 5th-8 th grades meets from 6:30pm-8pm for devotions, Bible studies, games, and more. Visit the Youth page for more information about these activities.
Other studies for adults often start at 6:30pm on Wednesdays. They vary in topic and leaders but are always worth checking out!
Vacation Bible School
